Dr. Nadja Fenn

Nadja studied biochemistry at the University of Bayreuth (Germany), University of Stockholm (Sweden) and the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories (USA). Afterwards she performed her doctoral thesis in the laboratory of Prof. Erich Nigg, department of cell biology at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried (Germany) where she graduated in 2010. Since then, she is working on the development of new antibody-based therapies at the Gene Center of the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich. Her main responsibilities, among other things, were CMC development and coordination of CDMOs. In 2015, Nadja received the pre-seed funding M4 Award as a co-applicant and took over the management of Opsyon. Since 2019 Nadja is funded by the Exist Transfer of Research grant and leading the team with exceptional commitment and determination. As project leader she is tenacious, has an open and clear communication style, addresses issues directly and ensures good and productive team work delivering high quality data. Her main responsibility is to coordinate the progress of lead candidates OPS-121 and OPS-301, coordinate GMP manufacturing with a CDMO and to take scientific and strategic decisions to safely maneuver Opsyon to become a successful company.
