Dr. Lorenza Wyder Peters

Lorenza obtained her PhD in molecular and cell biology in 1999 from the University of Zurich, Switzerland and brings 20+ years of experience in oncology with a strong focus on tumor microenvironment and immuno-oncology. She has worked for over 15 years in the pharma industry (Novartis, Actelion) in oncology drug discovery as laboratory head and project leader on projects from target identification until pre-clinical development. At Actelion, she built up the oncology group and was also responsible for evaluating in-licensing opportunities in oncology. Lorenza is well connected with the Biotech/Start-up community and has a large network of scientists, medical oncologist, pharma representatives and investors. She is reliable, energetic, proactive and persistent in trying to overcome hurdles, has good communication skills and strong analytical capability. Based on her broad background, Lorenza is responsible for business development and managing the IP portfolio and licensing negotiations as well as in vivo and toxicology studies.
